How you make decisions as a leader

"There are three constants in life - change, choice and principles." - Steven Covey

Your values are the foundation of your character and the principles and beliefs that define who you are, what you stand for, and what you aspire to be. They should not just be an abstract concept or slogans that sound good in speeches.

As a leader, your values provide consistency and keep you rooted so you don't get lost in the noise and distractions of daily challenges or external pressures.

I have seen the transformative power of values-based leadership in action. When leaders embrace their values and communicate them authentically and consistently, they create a culture of trust, respect, and accountability that enhances the performance and the well-being of their teams and their organizations.

When leaders ignore or compromise their values, they erode their credibility, their influence, and their impact, and they risk losing the trust and the loyalty of their followers.

When you know what matters most to you and why, you have a compass that can guide your decisions and actions.

Ask yourself...
- What are your core values?
- How do they shape your leadership style and decisions?
- How do you stay connected to your values during times of change?
- How do you ensure your values are not just words on a page?
- Do you leverage your values to create a better future for yourself and others?

Let's start a conversation about the power of values in leadership!

Onward and upward,
